Ingredients
- 2 c. Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (Not quick cook)
- ⅓ c. Honey (or Maple Syrup)
- ⅓ c. Orange Juice (or Apple Juice)
- ⅛ c. Brown Sugar
- ½ c. H2O
- 1 T. Avocado (or coconut oil or grass-fed butter/ghee)
- 1 t. Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ t. Ground Nutmeg
- ¼ t. Allspice
- Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 300℉ - Place oven rack on lower 3rd of the oven.
- Mix together oats, and spices.
- In a small saucepan heat up water, sweetener, juice, and butter/ghee.
- Pour over oats and mix thoroughly.
- Line sheet tray with parchment paper, and lightly coat with cooking spray.
- Spread oat mixture onto parchment paper, making sure to not leave stray oats. (they will burn)
- Place in oven, bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping and breaking oat mixture into chunks with metal spatula every 10 minutes
- 30 minutes – More chewy granola, 40 minutes crispy.
- Allow to cook completely, store in an airtight container for up to one week.
- Add nuts and/or dried fruit of choice when ready to serve.
- ENJOY with yogurt and fruit, over ice cream, or just a handful as a quick snack!
