Ingredients

  • 2 c. Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (Not quick cook)
  • c. Honey (or Maple Syrup)
  • c. Orange Juice (or Apple Juice)
  • c. Brown Sugar
  • ½ c. H2O
  • 1 T. Avocado (or coconut oil or grass-fed butter/ghee)
  • 1 t. Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ t. Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ t. Allspice
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 300℉ - Place oven rack on lower 3rd of the oven.
  • Mix together oats, and spices.
  • In a small saucepan heat up water, sweetener, juice, and butter/ghee.
  • Pour over oats and mix thoroughly.
  • Line sheet tray with parchment paper, and lightly coat with cooking spray.
  • Spread oat mixture onto parchment paper, making sure to not leave stray oats. (they will burn)
  • Place in oven, bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping and breaking oat mixture into chunks with metal spatula every 10 minutes
  • 30 minutes – More chewy granola, 40 minutes crispy.
  • Allow to cook completely, store in an airtight container for up to one week.
  • Add nuts and/or dried fruit of choice when ready to serve.
  • ENJOY with yogurt and fruit, over ice cream, or just a handful as a quick snack!
